The course does not offer purchases, subscriptions or paid enrolment.
Using the course
The course is provided free of charge for learning and reference. You may view and print pages for personal study, education or internal training. You may compile, run and adapt the code examples for learning, provided that you test the resulting software yourself.
You must not republish or sell a substantial part of the course, remove ownership notices, use the site unlawfully, interfere with its operation or suggest that Static Carnival endorses you or your work without written permission.
Copyright and other rights
The course design, teaching material, artwork and compilation are protected by copyright and related rights. Those rights may belong to Static Carnival Technologies Limited, Graham Morgan and/or identified licensors. Third-party material remains the property of its respective owner. To the extent that we control the relevant rights, these terms give you permission to use the material as described above; they do not transfer ownership.
Educational material, not a guaranteed result
The lessons explain programming concepts. They are not a substitute for checking the relevant language standard, compiler documentation, security requirements or the needs of a particular software system. C++ behaviour can depend on the language version, implementation, platform and build configuration.
We take reasonable care over the material, but do not promise that every page will always be complete, current, error-free or suitable for a particular project. You remain responsible for reviewing, testing and safely using any code.
Availability and external links
We may correct, update, reorganise or withdraw parts of the site. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. Links to external websites are provided for reference; those websites are controlled by their own operators and have their own terms and privacy practices.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing in these terms removes any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
